Several restaurants offer tasty, low-cholesterol, low-fat dishes. The following tips will help you to make the best decision for an enjoyable and healthy meal when eating out.
Before you order:
- Familiar with the meals that are served? Decide on your order before you arrive. This helps you to be able to avoid all those tempting dishes.
- Remove any temptations that are on your table, such as butter.
- Drink water ahead of your food.
When ordering:
- Search for dishes that are broiled, steamed, roasted, or grilled.
- Do not order fried potatoes, instead order it baked without the sour cream and butter.
