Not giving Up the Fight with High cholesterol

High cholesterol level is one of the most common health problems today. But having its high level does not mean that you will surrender yourself to the situation. Instead one should not give up and fight with high levels of this bad cholesterol. One just needs to follow healthy living style, consume well balanced diet and do regular exercise to fight this health evil.
First of all, eliminate all food items from your diet which are high in saturated fat and cholesterol. All types of animal products and processes foods like poultry, eggs, whole milk, pastry, cakes, muffins and others are high in cholesterol and trans fat and should be avoided. Lots of fiber should be included in diet as they draw out LDL from the body. Low cholesterol foods like fresh vegetables, fruits, legumes and whole grain products should be included in your daily diet. Some specific foods like oats, barley, avocado, green salad and extra virgin oil further reduces your cholesterol levels and helps to keep your fight on.
Beside well balanced diet, exercise also plays an important role to keep check on your with high LDL levels. Even if diet and exercise does not prove to be effective then do not worry as medicines and supplements are also available to fight with high cholesterol levels in the body.
