Cholesterol Tips

Take High Cholesterol Seriously.

Several people do not consider high cholesterol as serious as they should. High Cholesterol is a severe risk.

Having high cholesterol is a major contributor to cardio diseases that can lead to heart attacks or strokes. Despite all the treatments that are in the world today cardiovascular diseases are the number one leader causing deaths.

Don't let it get you down if your doctor has diagnosed you with high cholesterol. Take action immediately, before it results in other risk factors.

A doctor will focus on the following factors:

  • LDL is known as the “bad cholesterol” – The LDL cholesterol will clog arteries, which increases your chance of having a stroke or heart attack.
  • HDL is the “good cholesterol” – HDL attacks all the bad and takes it to your liver, then it is filtered out of your body. HDL helps to reduce all the bad cholesterol within your body.
  • Triglycerides are fat that floats in your bloodstream, it’s not cholesterol. High levels of triglycerides will increase your risk of heart disease.

So when talking about high cholesterol we are referring to, it as having higher levels of LDL cholesterol, plus triglycerides and lower levels of HDL.
