How to Improve Cholesterol?


Improving cholesterol means: 

Increasing the HDL i.e. good cholesterol

Decreasing the LDL i.e. bad cholesterol 

As a part of the treatment and prevention plan to improve the cholesterol levels it is vital to take certain important steps. And along with these things, if the doctor recommends drug therapy, then it should be used. Improving cholesterol levels can help you to stay healthy and keep the risk of heart ailments away. Following are some of the things which you must do to improve your cholesterol: 

Have healthy diet everyday: You must depend upon healthy diet which is low in fats but rich in nutrients like vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. Such healthy diet which is rich in greens and low in Trans fats as well as saturated fats, can keep your cholesterol levels under control.  

Exercise everyday: At least 30 minutes of intense physical exercise is recommended everyday to keep the cholesterol at the healthy levels.  This will help you to burn the extra calories which would otherwise be converted into triglycerides and thus cholesterol. 

Stay away from cigarettes: Tobacco smoking can be injurious for your health as well as for healthy levels of cholesterol. Thus you must quit smoking. 

A combination of all these things will help you to improve your cholesterol which is in a way healthy for your heart and overall quality of life.
