People suffering from high cholesterol level should consume healthy diet which is low in saturated fats and high in fiber. Foods like vegetables, fruits and whole grains are high in fiber content and help to bring down the cholesterol levels. Trans fats should be completely eliminated from your diet and items like snack cakes, cookies, crackers and other processed food should be avoided. Moreover intake of whole milk, egg yolks and other food made with organ meats and whole milk should also be avoided. Apart from healthy and well balanced diet, proper exercise should also be done to cure cholesterol.

 Moreover healthy weight should also be maintained as extra weight leads to storage of more cholesterol in the body. Various supplements are also available in the market which aims to reduce your levels of cholesterol. When diet and exercise does not prove to be sufficient then medication may also be prescribed by the doctor to lower your cholesterol levels.
