|
The people suffering from the peripheral vascular disease might not show any symptoms, there are many instances where you would find no symptoms. It is known that only half of the populations suffering from the disease show the symptoms.
The symptoms are pain or cramp in the leg due to restricted blood supply and cause in the areas where the arteries are blocked due to the disease. The major and the most common symptom of the peripheral vascular disease is the leg pain while you are exerting your body maybe during running or climbing up stairs. This happens around the calves, hips and the thighs. The pain arises due to the restricted supply of blood in those areas, during some kind of exertion like running, the muscles needs oxygen which is derived from the blood hence the pain. Cramps also occur as the blood supply maybe completely blocked in that region.
People tend to relax their legs during cramps so that blood can flow into that region. The pain is intermittent. Besides it also has other symptoms like weakness in legs, hairs on the leg is lost, impotence, pain in buttocks, legs might become numb, burning sensation in feet, foot might sore. The legs become pale in color and they might not heal.
