What are Triglyceride Levels?


Levels of triglycerides are the quantity of triglycerides stored in the fat cells. Triglycerides help in fuelling the body with the required energy in between the meals. Triglycerides are the stores of energy which help during the times when you don’t have your food.  But, triglycerides are harmful if they are in excess of the required quantity. It is therefore important to maintain a proper level of this. Both excess as well as deficiency can be harmful. Deficiency makes you tired and exhausted whereas excess can be fatal for your heart. It is necessary to maintain the level of triglycerides and that is possible if one balances the calorie intake. Many people do not realize this thing. But, what you eat and the number of calories that you intake will definitely make a difference in the levels of triglycerides. A proper and balanced diet which has lots of green vegetables and fresh fruits, meals that are free from animal fat or too many calories can work wonders in this case. You must also modify your food pattern and indulge into binge eating habits. You can have everything right from cheese cubes to cakes. But it must be in small quantities and only to serve your taste buds. More emphasis must be there on healthy foods. Along with a proper and healthy diet and good exercise regime will also work towards maintaining the levels of triglycerides.
