What Is VLDL?


Very low density lipoprotein is a kind of lipoprotein formulated by the organ, liver. It is one among the five major lipoproteins found in the body- chylomicrons, VLDL, intermediate-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, high-density lipoprotein. This particular lipoprotein is pivotal to the dissolution of fats and cholesterol in the bloodstream of the body. VLDL constitutes of cholesterol, proteins and triglycerides. This lipoprotein is known for containing the highest percentage of triglycerides, which is a type in blood fat.  Doctors, on the basis of several studies and research touch very-low-density-lipoprotein (VLDL) as bad cholesterol. This is because this form scores extremely high in the percentage of cholesterol which is harmful for the health of the heart. People can however lower the presence of cholesterol found in VLDL by making some lifestyle alterations. It is recommended to follow a strict diet regimen which must lack the presence of food items associated with high cholesterol like sugar, red meat, cashew nuts, alcohol and much more.  Following a healthy diet along with a regular physical exercise regime promises to considerably reduce the triglyceride levels in the body. This naturally affects the levels of bad cholesterol in the body system as well.
